Not Real Tuna
Sometimes my art flows from words and sometimes from an overflowing trashcan. Editing an article on recycling for my school newspaper, the Informer, a visual concept emerged. I decided to find a use for all the pull top lids from the cans we discarded after lunch. Sorting through the recycle container, I saw a variety of cast off cans. I constructed a tuna can from the pull tabs. The differing colors of the tabs give the suggestion of the tuna inside the can and the aluminum frame of the can itself.
